Shouldnt the NBA just go ahead and retract and lose about 8 teams?

All 4 of the major pro sports need to get rid of some teams.

4 to 8 teams in all of them could go.

The NBA also needs to eliminate guaranteed contracts but that's another story...

Williams will leave New Jersey to team up with someone , Paul is on his way out of New Orleans , and Dwight Howard will not be in Orlando past 2012 , UNLESS , Paul or Williams finds their way to Orlando.. Most likely though , Howard ends up in LA , Williams ends up in New York , and Paul ends up in either LA or OKC. Griffin wont be with the Clippers once he finds a way out , Love doesnt wanna lose in a small market city like Minnesota , and Tyreke Evans would like to have stability , not wondering whethere he'll be here(sacramento) or there(Anaheim).

Lets just get rid of these 8 franchises and have an expansion draft.. Starting with the BEST team from the previous season getting to pick first.. Thats basically how free agency works anyway..

      Clippers , Magic , Hornets , Timberwolves , Kings , Cavaliers , Pacers , Raptors..

For one , Small market teams will NEVER win in a free agency battle.. Stop with all of this CBA bullshit to lower the cap(trying to save the small market franchises) and give some parity to the league.. Its not what the players want , obviously.. Put a 100 mill a year cap on the shit and let the players do as they please.. If you dont , theyll find loopholes..
thank you for not including my milwaukee bucks on your list of eliminations. almost everyone else includes them near the top since herb kohl will eventually sell the team and the bradley center is one of the oldest arenas in the nba.

Retraction would be cool, but not 8 teams. That's ridiculous. 2 teams would be ideal. Timberwolves are a definite, and then you go either Hornets or Bobcats. Maybe even the Hawks but it would never happen even though they have a terrible fan base.

I'll agree with the Hornets... they'll probably be gone anyways in a couple of years.

I live in New Orleans... the basketball market here is very small. Most of the fans come from the north side of Lake Pontchartrain. We BARELY met the attendance requirement this year, and the team will flat out SUCK without CP3.

Braves1985 , Thank you so much for your insightful analysis .. How about rather than saying something is FUKKIN STUPID , give some input on WHY you think that? I didnt post this to get called an idiot , I posted to get honest opinions.. I gave mine , now give yours..

Cleveland and Toronto have the same thing in common .. They both had star players leave for Miami .. Prices dropped and the giveaways at games got bigger and better.. Trust me , three years from now , theyll be in the bottom 10 of attendance.. They wont put up with the bullshit for long..

As far as taking away 8 teams , I dont think it should be that many.. I dont know why I said 8.. Maybe 4 teams? I understand attendance plays a pretty big part of all of this which means New Orleans will most likely be the first to go.. After that , who will be the next couple to go ? I really see them "contracting"(<-- Thanks for the correction) in the next few years..

Thanks for all of the replies gentlemen.

^^^ Everything is just a big ol FUKKIN JOKE to you huh? Seem like a cool guy to hang out with at least .. We would probably laugh alot..

My point is , Toronoto and Cleveland will very likely be outside of the top 10 in attendance in 3-5 years.. Just my opinion.. I dont know this , Im just guessing fans will get tired of paying year after year to go watch a team that NO superstar will ever want to play for in a city he will never live in.
