Nope you can start blogging with no degree for these small sites and move your way up. All the money now is in online sports writing and experience and previous work is mostly all you need. My friend was going to AZ state for a Bachelors in journalism and dropped out because he got a job with a great company just off experience he had by writing and blogging on the internet for 10 years through his website and such.

good job on getting a degree for the few that got one. Now if you "really" have what it takes then you will get the high paying job you thought you would automatically get with a degree.

Are you aware your profession is dieing (sadly I think) and is being replaced by cheap and free content all over the internet.
Most writers today are hacks anyways, who are trying to maintain their dignity by claiming bloggers simply do not have access to teams, thus their opinions are worthless.
