One of the consequences of a lost NFL season will be an increase of crime in America, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis said in a wide-raging one-on-one interview with ESPN.
If it did go up, it be because of all the black nfl players who are unemployed now who will be doing more crime than usual not anyone else.
It probably just save majority of people on sbr from losing more money than usual thus crime going down.

These guys get in enough trouble even when there's a season, its not illogical to assume there'll be more without an nfl season.

I'd take that bet for sure. He kills people with the season or without.

Leave it to ESPN to give mental midgets a megaphone
Former Chicago Bears running back Garrett Wolfe was arrested Sunday morning, and charged with retail theft, disorderly conduct, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest, according to information released by the Miami-Dade police.
That's what they do.

I think Ray is right. If the NFL players have nothing to do, then they will certainly commit more crimes than unual. Ray knows this first hand

If you watched the segment, this is what he was talking about. He apparently thinks everyone will start committing crimes on Sunday instead of shopping or cleaning up the yard. Although Ray and his union buddies will not miss this fun, either, I am sure.

He made a good point about peoples ego getting in the way and that people who work in the stadiums and or have jobs surrounding the team are the ones really struggling if the lockout marches through the season; considering they make so much less. I was trying to understand the whole crime thing as well.. he should have left that part out

crime would probably be down if there is no season. people wouldn't have to steal in order to pay off their bookies.

he was talking about security personell, concession workers, janitors, etc. losing jobs and having to commit crimes to get by.
he wasn't referring to peoples boredom on sundays causing crime to go up.
