Almost everynight you see tv shows that hit on the topic of parents going balistic at games or people just being obnoxious at games.Just wondering if anyone here as a parent or fan ever get kicked out of a game?If not kicked out,did your emotions going wild end in a fight, grudge or court case?

The one case that always comes to mind is the hockey parent guy that killed the coach or parent?that was about 40% his size.

Some parents today are F-ing out of control. They think that 1st grade basketball is the NBA, same with other sports. They are an embarrassment to their child.

no, but i did foul out of a parks league game in high school and get a technical in one game once.
the dude who grew up behind me, his dad was always pushing him in every sport. I can remember it being winter time and cold outside and he would have his son outside practicing free-throws and jump shots, the father was always on him. i remember when i would go over to just shoot hoops with him and his dad would come out and coach him and would get mad at him and call time-out and take him to the side and tell him what he was doing wrong and stuff. I would just start letting him win so we could end the game so i could go back home. now i'm not saying i was better than him always, but we were on the same level of skill and i was a little taller. the dude also didn't get an Atari or Nintendo until late, and he never had a skateboard or BMX bike or a dirtbike. he could never play with the rest of us, like go riding in the woods on our dirtbikes, or playing baseball or football in the field , or going over to someones house and play video games. his dad was always about organized sports and school. If he wasn't playing in a parks league or for the school, his dad had him practicing and then hitting the books. i always felt bad for him cause the rest of us were enjoying our youth and doing what kids normally do.

I will man up and admit it.

I got ejected from a Travel Tournament Game
          in East Windsor, NJ

It was for a bunch of kids 15 years old competing for baseball.

I was one of the coaches, but in the round robin double elimination tournament I decided to sit out of this game.

The umpires were brutal in the tournament. For both teams and every team. One umpire specifically.

Arrogant, obnoxious and just plain ole ugly.

So I sat in the stands since nobody really knew who I was
from the other team since it was a travel league.
And he did his usual stupid shit and I got up from the bleachers and started making a scene.
No profanity, just yelling and screaming and making fun of him.
Telling him that he sucked. To get glasses. To be fair to the kids. This was not about him but about the kids.

Well it didnt take long but I was kicked out of the stands and the game.

But the truth is, we planned it that way.
We wanted to rile up the kids and get them focused and show them how determined we were that the game be treated
fair and that their best effort needed to be put forth.

Funny thing, we won that game and won the next game and moved onto the next round before getting eliminated before heading to the Regionals for the state.

We are a small town of less than 3000 so it was a great job by the kids.

Side note, one of the players on my team was
          J R SMITH.

The same J R (Earl) that is now in the NBA and the Denver
          Nuggets.

One of the reasons for my tirade was he was picked off first
in the first game that cost us the game.
True it was J R's fault. We told him whatever you do
DONT get picked off. First pitch he got picked off.

I am still amazed he made it to the NBA.
His family still lives here in town.

During high school, I played junior hockey and still hold two league records: most time spent in the penalty box; and I was the only guy to ever take off his skate and try to stab somebody.

One time as a fan. Got escorted out of old Rangers Stadium up in Arlington back around 1991-92 for gambling of all things.

The Ft. Worth-Tarrant County Texas A&M Club used to hold an annual Cook the Hell Outta' Bevo Barbecue each summer at the park just south of the old stadium. So we'd been there since sunrise cooking briskets, chicken, sausage...and drinking beer all day in the August sun.

There were about 100 of us with a block of seats to the Rangers game that night, and we're all in our cups before the first pitch. One of the guys decides to play house for a game of 'Dirt of Grass.' Sure many of you have played this, basically it has to do with where the ball winds up after the last out of an inning and the sides switch. Like after a strikeout, the catcher rolls the ball out to the mound; if it rolls up and stays on the mound, Dirt wins, and if it rolls off then Grass wins. We called it 'Dirt or Carpet' in the Astrodome back in the day.

Don't recall exactly how it went, but the house won the first bet, so there are about 15-20 of us passing a measly buck to the guy. Then he loses the next half-inning and he doles a dollar out to all that played. No big deal. Well, we thought it was no big deal. But apparently some other fan thought our gambling ways to be immoral and reported us to the ushers who then came up around the fourth inning and informed us that "due to the gambling," the entire section was being cut off from more beer. The fact we all laughed at the usher probably didn't endear us to the two Arlington police officers who were standing by.

Well hell, after a half-inning of no Dirt/Grass and no beer, one of my old Aggie classmates and I decided to blow that popsicle stand and head down to another section where we could at least have a beer. We stopped at a concession and ordered a crispy cup of sweet nectar. We took about three steps away from the stand and then got to meet the two Arlington cops up close and personal. The whole way down the ramps as they escorted us out of the park, my friend is laughing at them and telling them we're just going to walk across the parking lot to the park where we still have a keg or two from the BBQ earlier that day.

                      I'd say it's 101% luck, AAO.

Pass the cup is another good one to play at ballgames.

The best dirt-grass plays are when an outfielder would lob the ball back in and it just barely trickles on to the dirt. The players don't do it as often as they used to because they nornally hold the ball and toss it to some kid in the stand. Not that such a thing is necessarily bad.

the ball usually ends up in the grass 80% of the time... it is hard to stay on the dirt
