lol makes you think though right..if he was saving for his kids and i'm assuming he was an older gentleman, why none of the kids knew about it. hell my mom is young but she's told me all her accounts and financial situation just in case anything ever happens.

I'll tell you that without a doubt that if I found $45,000 in cash I would have kept every last dollar for myself and not felt one bit bad about it.

I'm just that kind of guy, I would NEVER have even thought about giving it away. Sorry, my dad never raised me to be an idiot. He raised me to have common sense and do what is best for me and mine.

I would have spent the $45K on my kids or my wife or the house or ANYTHING my family needed. Giving the money away is just 100% STUPID. You know it and I know it.

I remember seeing this story on the news and on yahoo recently and I was like... You've GOT to be kidding me right? The guy actually gave the money away?? WHAT??? Good Lord what an idiot.

I don't think returning the money was admirable at all, I think it was just pure stupidity to return it. It's a good example of being TOO NICE and being a SUCKER.

All the talk about God and Karma... Who's to say God didn't want the guy who found the $$$ to have it and spend the money on his family? Perhaps the universe GAVE him the $$$ and what did he do? He GAVE it away to someone else!!! God was probably angry with the guy because here he presents a GIFT to you and instead of thanking God for the gift of $45,000 he gives it away!!

The real point is... Obviously the previous owner who saved or hid all that cash didn't tell ANY of his kids or relatives about it... Now what does that say about his relationships with them? Do you really think the dead owner wanted his family to have it if he never told them about it?

Something was very fishy about this whole story but I can assure you without a doubt I would have KEPT EVERY DOLLAR and not felt one bit bad about it. No thinking about it or debating at all, I would have kept it all and felt GREAT about finding it!!!
