Shortstop or Iceminers

Hey NC

I don't know about pounding them but I'm putting a unit @ +114 on them.

Yes Penny has been on an unreal run, only 7 ER over his last 38.2 innings but IMO it is only a matter of time until he gets shelled and that very well could come tonight. Basically I'm not buying this new Cy Young Penny but if he throws another gem tonight, I might have to swallow my words from here out.

As for Karstens he hasn't been bad at home, 5 ER in 20.5 innings. My only fear with Karstens is that one bad inning, he could be cruising along and then that one inning comes along where he gives up a crooked number. I think he can give 6 solid tonight with 2 to 3 runs damage, which I feel will put the Bucs in a good position to win this one down the stretch.

Good luck if you decide to play them, I"ll be rooting for a Buccos win.

If the Bucs could ever score runs when Karstens pitch this would be a very good bet...that is the uncertainty that makes it gambling

Penny's road numbers are not good (19 ER in 22 IP). He's been doing all of his damage at home. It's weird, but I'd almost like this game even more if it were at Detroit -- Pirates have been sub-par at home this year.

Pirates have been sub-par at home which the public knows. Yet, the line is dropping with 75% of the public pounding the Tigers. So why is the line dropping?

Wasn't aware his road numbers were that bad, thanks for the info. Bucs hit the ball pretty well in Cincy so you would think they could get to Penny early, well at least that's my thinking.

good catch Nucker, I don't know why this club struggles at home, maybe since its such a young bunch they press too hard, I don't know. Hoping its only a matter of time until they play solid ball at home.

Either sharp money or a typical move by the books on Pirate home games. I've noticed they bluff a lot with PIT for some reason. Hard to say, but probably a little bit of both.
