All the jails have some kind of bookie that runs things similar to an outside bookie. Most just have the regular "pick 4" at 10 to 1 odds. Or a basic pool with like 50 to 100 packs of cigarretes. Anyway, this one prison I was in called Wallkill, was much different. This jail was a lot of rapist and down low pedophiles. Lot of old harmless white guys. Doesnt take much to figure out. Anyway, there some italian bookie there, and he would take action. No limit. Only thing was, had to be money up front. Usually cigarettes, but he would take money from the street. Your sister would meet his wife and give her the money and he would honor it. No juice.(Can't charge -110 on a pack of newport). I don't remember what year but the superbowl when denver beat Gb, this guy offered 10 to 1 odds that gb wins. Dudes were going to his cell with like 50 packs of cigarettes. When denver won, dudes were lined up thirsty for money or blood. He owed over .$15,000 in money all bets. This man, true to his word, had his people fedex, money to everybody he owed. He could have signed into pc, and moved to a different jail. But he paid every last person. One thisty dude tried to shake him down by saying that he never got the $500 money owed. Meanwhile, everybody else did. The italian dude got scared a nd checked into pc. We never saw him again. Dudes were pissed and somebody stabbed the dude that lied 2 weeks later.

I'm working at a prison right now. I'm driving around the perimeter of the facility that's why I'm able to use my phone. Prison life is all about gambling.
