The NBA has announced that beginning next season there will be fines levied for obvious "flops". No word on how much they will cost, whether the fines will escalate for repeat offenders, or whether suspensions will be an option.
Anderson Varejao's defensive abilities just decreased by 40%. Coincidentally (and ironically) Rasheed Wallace went on a post-game rant about flopping on Wednesday, for which he will likely be fined. A censored excerpt: "All that bull(bleep)-ass calls they had out there...you've all seen that (bleep)," Wallace said. "The cats are flopping all over the floor and they're calling that (bleep).
