Little known fact about Harmon Kilebrew
Interesting fact about Mr. Kilebrew. I recall his nickname was Killer or Hammerin' Harmon but what most don't realize is that his baptized name was actually Harmony. His mother desperately wanted a girl and when she realized she had a boy, she decided to name him Harmony to sate her desire for a daughter and to declare she was at peace, or harmony, with her little boy.

Surprisingly, she was unaware of her son's athletic prowess and made him devote countless hours to the banjo. She felt it would be appropriate considering his name and he actually became quite an accomplished guitarist and harmonica player. But baseball was his passion and although he will forever be known as Killer, those who knew him best will remember him as the sweet little boy with the pretty name.

One of the classiest players ever to play.
I was only 7 or 8 when he was in his prime, but I do remember him coming to the old Yankee stadium and making my little boy jaw drop with moon shots I didn't think humans could hit, no steroids either.

I remember playing Stratomatic baseball where you inserted the player discs into the spinner. The number "1" was the homerun and he had the widest "1" by far. Lots of homers when his turn came up. RIP Harmon...

I played Strat for years, don't remember the disc.
I remember the 4800 cards, but no disc?
