Stoke is just jostling for mid-carder position on the table and are usually pretty punchless on the road. 1-0 City is always a popular result for them at home - happened six times in their last nine home matches. Might be worth a shot at a big, fixed price.

City cannot finish anything worse than 4th place already. They do have a chance to finish 3rd and avoid having to qualify for the Champions League group stages. That would be a huge incentive for them since they could avoid playing such teams as Bayern, Lyon, Benfica, Kazan, etc, since they wouldn't get one of the high seedings like Arsenal would if they finished 4th. Plus, if City were to finish 4th, they would then need to play their CL qualifying match just 3 days after the Community Shield against United.

Good point. Forgot that Arsenal lost on the weekend to Villa to let City have a solid shot there. Still think 1-0, 2-0 is likely IMO.

You should keep in mind that Stoke have nothing to play for, they can neither reach European qualification (already in the Europa League next year) and can't be relegated. With that in mind Man City -1 does look good, pushing for 3rd, although i wouldn't have bet it earlier in the season.

2. Who knows what Stoke has been doing since that 1-0 loss, probably thinking about revenge?

City's squad is so big and strong with quality backups so I doubt fatigue will be a factor. If City win today they are in 3rd. This is huge.

Man City, Chelsea, and Liverpool have been very inconsistent. Just when you think they will kill a team they let you down, and when you think they will draw they win 5-0. It's very perplexing and scares me away from betting on their games. Too unpredictable.
