as much as i dislike agreeing with you, this team is very skilled and efficient on both sides of the ball and that price is very worth-while. the phillies, redsox and yankees arent the projected super-teams many anticipated. they're definitely in the mix and that is not a bad price.

Really no pitching? The Reds starting rotation outside of Volquez seems to be getting their shite together and have looked good as of late. Getting Homer Bailey and Johnny Cueto back was a big boost to the staff.

I think that they do have chances, but for me +1800 (or +2000 as I see with a couple UK books) just isnt enough value for a team that may well be relying on a wildcard spot to make the post season.
BOL though

I like that bet. They may need to add a piece or two at the trade deadline, but they should be in position at the end of the season.

Feel Confident.........
they will be in the mix, somehow, someway.......too good of a team not to be-----I'd like to see Volquez round back into the form he showed the last two years......can't figure out how teams have him figured-out........tipping his pitches or something?

A No. 3/4 starter, a No. 3 starter, a No. 5 starter, a No. 5 starter (at best) and a guy with No. 1 stuff who can't seem to get right mentally.
CoCo is a declining closer as well.

Cordero, to this point, is having a lights out (read:contract) year... The fact that they don't have the ace starter might kill them, have many young arms that might evolve into one... Maybe or maybe not this year...
Rolen has to stay healthy as well, their record without him is indicative of where the team goes...

In theory, it's Volquez. And Cueto could be a good No. 2.
They just aren't there yet (not sure if they ever will be).

Cueto(including last season) and Bailey have acquitted themselves nicely so far this year, Wood and Leake have undiscovered potential... Volquez has number one stuff, to go along with a ten-cent head... Arroyo will eat up the innings... No one knows what September will bring...
Not quite sure if the Reds are worth 18-1, but their depth is such that they won't be going away any time soon...

Not a bad play for the odds. I think they're for real especially after sweeping the cards.
