SK you are right there is no way the thunder can win this game or the series. The mavs series price at only -230 is free money. Also you can take the mavs 4-1/4-2 for a unit a pop and make some money. I mean i doubt the thunder win more than two games. Cant understand why the books are giving money away like this. I might take a small piece of OKC to win the series. I live near the DFW-area and the sports talk station I listen to is giving the Thunder no shot of competing in this series. They are too young is pretty much the argument and they're already talking about who the Mavs should want in the Finals - Heat or Bulls. I know some of this is to boost listeners and differing points of view, but they act like Dallas is unbeatable now - the same group of morons who wrote them off in Portland think they are Jordan's Bulls now because they beat the Lakers ... who didn't look very good in the post season even when they beat New Orleans.

Thanks for pointing that one out but it's the exact opposite that killed the Lakers in their series with the Mavs. Dallas is an explosive team, with what the Thunder showed in their series against Memphis where they averaged 17 turnovers a game, that they cannot do against the Mavs. If they allowed Memphis to turn their 7-8 point lead into a tie with a slow pace game with those turnovers, Mavs can make a 7-8 point deficit into a 4-5 point lead with a fast pace game especially with their transition 3balls. Dallas certainly will go for a fast pace game with those Thunder turnovers and that would hurt Oklahoma in the long run.

Sure... I'm asking these questions because I have yet to hear a convincing argument for how the Thunder are going to attack Dallas and win this game. The only answers given were vague notions about matchup issues (with no reference to who that actually refers to) and the rust/momentum argument which makes assumptions that don't seem very concrete to me.

I don't have any money on the game/series yet. However i'll be surprised if the Thunder win more than 2 games in this series.

And you're expecting the Mavs to have the exact same gameplan vs the Thunder as they used vs the Lakers? The Mavs will get some transition 3s but trying to run the floor all series with a younger and more athletic team is a losing proposition for the Mavs. The Thunder can actually exploit this if they can force the Mavs to play at a fast pace early on in games. I don't really think Dallas will get tired today but later in the series it might come into play.

As for turnovers, the Grizzlies were #1 in the league this year in steals and forcing opponents turnovers. Both the Thunder and Mavs are middle of the road on turnovers/steals.

Still trying to talk myself into a ML bet on em.

Got em +13.5 as last leg of a parlay....and have them +14.5 and Heat +10.5 as last 2 legs.

Thought about taking them and heat as pleasers. Don't mind the OKC -.5 but little worried about heat -4.5 100 to win 7xx. Or I could just ML them both and have 100 to win 540 or so.

Give it a rest pal. I called okc and i lost fair and square. The only thing i did wrong was go against the line movement which all pointed to dallas as the play. i guess line movement means something after all
