    Announcers need to STFU about
1.) Defense: They make any 1st baseman who can pick a ball in the dirt out to be some all star. I'm sick and tired of hearing about how great Adrian Gonzalez and Mark Teixera are defensively. They are both below average.

2.) Jeter: MLB network guy last night said Jeter's high ground ball to AB ratio(highest in mlb) is "probably a great thing for him!" Yeah that's why he had a very high one last year when he hit .270 with no power and has the highest this year and is a shitty hitter again. Why do announcers just LOVE to take Jeter *** to the face?

So if those 2 are below average, what's your idea of average or good?

Its easy for them to talk about players that everyone knows about...
And people actually buy into it

Great range and good instincts. Gonzalez has awful range and misses so many balls to his right that most 1B get to. Teixera has bad instincts. He rnages way too far to his right to field balls that the second baseman gets to anyway and makes the pitcher cover in tricky situations.
