Question to Tennis Guru's

Is it just me or does it seem that when an match goes 3 sets that about 75% of the time it goes L W W instead of W L W?

I just see so many times where my guy will win set #1 but then lose the next to sets. This isnt just when I bet on Tennis also, just when I check scores and etc.

What do you people think?

I don't think that is the case. I would be willing to bet the distribution is even.

If you are right though it would likely b/c the winner of the first set is the underdog who "goes for broke" so to speak, in the first set.

I would more look at a players conditioning and mental fortitude, wore than anything when a match goes the distance, but I am sure that momentum may play into that as well.

It would surprise me if that were true.

I feel like that is pretty accurate with the men. I notice with the women though that there's a bunch of WLW. No data. Just from what I feel and remember.

Defintely not going to be 75% in favor of that stat. If it's anything more than 55-45 split in favor of one or the other I'd be surprised.

I think if you blindly bet the second set winner to win the match you will go broke
