Baze was a mainstay in California racing for years, lived in Glendora, but moved his tack east a year ago.

Baze did NOT ride Nehro in the Kentucky Derby; Corey Nakatani did. Baze did ride Nehro earlier in his career. The story says he hadn't had a mount in the last two weeks, which seems a bit odd unless he was injured, and there's no mention of that.

Then these top notch jockeys want to all marry models and such that are 6 feet tall.Pincay did,Shoemaker did,,,stupid move.Pincay's model wife hung or shot herself in front of the kids on coke.The kid is what's his name on HRTV and Versus broadcasting and racing.He's got a pretty good voice. Chances are,the woman is going to want more if you know what I mean and she's going to get half of your net worth.Remember Kent Desormeaux on Big Brown in the triple crown where he got so philosophical with his babe of a wife how the triple crown was in the cards for him because his severely affected by autism kid changed his life to be a god fearing family man.Well,Kent lost the triple crown,kept riding and his wife went bye bye.

Look at how nutso Calvin Borrel is where he's always getting ready to look like a demon and jump some other jockey.Most of these jockeys have small heads with tiny brains=dumbass ways of thinking.

Watch the Randy Romero-Shane Sellers documentary how Romero's liver and kidneys were gone and he still raced.I think he got burned severely in a sweat box too.

Report: Jockey Found Dead At Churchill Was Facing Cocaine Charges

There are new details surrounding the death of a young jockey found inside his SUV Tuesday evening on the backside of Churchill Downs. In an arrest report obtained by WLKY, 24-year-old Michael Baze was scheduled for a court appearance Thursday on a cocaine charge. A Metro police citation shows Baze was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance just after midnight on Nov. 18. The arrest happened in a parking lot at Baxter Avenue and East Broadway while detectives were conducting a narcotics investigation.

According to the citation, Baze was inside a vehicle in the parking lot with the lights off.
Detectives had received a number of complaints from that area concerning narcotics and thefts from cars.
According to the arrest report, Baze told police he had cocaine in the vehicle and a small baggie of suspected cocaine was found. On Tuesday, Baze was found dead inside his SUV in the stable area of the track around 4:45 p.m.

It was tragic to learn of Michael Baze's death. He was just a kid. Supposedly was really gaining respect on the track even from people who thought he made it on his name. sounds like he was going to be a great jockey in his own right, not just known as Mike bazes son or nephew of gary baze.

He had a DUI incident last year, was either just divorced or about to be divorced, and now the drug problem. That's a lot to deal with, but those aren't problems you can't recover from. It's a terribly sad ending to the story.
