Cause it was called a goal on the ice (not sure how the ref could do that since he couldn't see the puck). Once it's ruled a goal on the ice, the video evidence has to show irrefutably that it's NOT a goal (and vice versa if it's not called a goal on the ice) to overrule the on-ice official. The dumb thing about the NHL is they don't actually use video replay to see what happened without bias.
