i think wang is their best pitcher...or the top of te rotation. but yankees will make a come back 2nd half of the season...like always. the owner probably will spent a lot money to fix it up.

What owner? The inmates are running the asylum over there.

salami,
take a guess what bettors would be down if they bet the NYY in every game for the last 9 yrs..
You'd be down 125 units.. that's right, 125 units... meaning, if you are a 1 dime bettor, you'd be down 125,000 dollars on just betting the NYY only..
People think that just because the NYY are so good that you would make money on them.. But squares don't realize that the NYY are the worst team to bet on because the oddsmakers know they are popular and their lines are jacked up and the public continues to bet the NYY..
if you bet against them every game since 1999 or so, you'd be retired today.

someone do the math quickly , divide the teams , NYY SDP , payroll by the # of wins for each and see what each win so far this yr is costing

Were the Yankees supposed to be good this year? I didn't see it. This was going to be a down year either way. Hughes and Kennedy are young, and young pitchers struggle. Mussina and Pettitte are 4/5 starters at best. They have no pitching, and will not make the playoffs. It is kind of funny though.

That is why they are squares. I have never bet on the Yankees in my life. Albeit I have only been gambling since last year. I know you have never bet on them Nicky.

If you go by wins per $ spent, it has to be the NYY.
