how do you fade pants on fire?

he faded it by taking every other horse in the field versus me.
so he only had to "fade" pants on fire winning.

just like in poker if you win with every river card except a queen, then you are fading the queens.

unless you were making the joke that pants on fire wouldn't fade, although if the pants were only on fire for a little while they might fade instead of burning to ashes.
