The problem with most fans is they refuse to look at their team realistically, there have been some big time homers around here over the years. I myself am usually level headed with STL and dont mind telling it like it is with them, but last couple weeks ive been really bad with them so i put a self imposed ban on them for a while (did take them in game 1 against Nats only to watch Larussa bring in Bautista and Miller to blow a 6-2 lead, if he would have opened the inning with Motte Cards win that game. The big problem is i caught homerism at some point and even while im not playing them im not taking adv of the great fade they have been.

if they could get some bullpen help they could make some noise for sure come october

Central has turned into a very tough div all a sudden. Mil is the class right now, with Gallardo, Greinke, Marcum, that a tough rotation in a playoff series. Brew crew has a scary good lineup as well. Reds still young but they have all the pieces if they can get consistency out of their starters, plus Jockety is a very good gm and will be aggressive to add a piece or 2 if needed. W/o a quality Lefty out of the pen and another good reliever Cards could be heading for a 3rd place finish. Hopefully they make a couple solid moves and get healthy, Freeze is ahead of schedule, Craig went from bruised knee to a fracture that is gonna keep him out a month. Big series against kc as they need to get back on track.

They very well could. They should get another win today with king felix on the mound vs Worley. If they can steal a few runs from Halladay tomorrow, they could definately come out with a sweep. Pitching matchups worked out well for them this series.
