So...are the Hawks for real?

They're finally healthy (somewhat). They're hitting their shots. Teague is playing like a good defender. Rose is hurt no matter what he says. They're also lucky.

I think they match up well against everyone but the Heat. First and foremost, can they beat the Bulls?

They're running on very high level motivation right now. Living with the embarassment from the 2010 playoffs for an entire year and then given the chance to prove themselves. Of course at some point this will not be enough, but for now I'm glad I took a chance on their swollen series price, which will at the very least be hedgeable.

If bulls lose the next game, because Joe Johnson has another solid game, I expect him to carry that back to ATL and take 1 or 2 there. If the Bulls play an average game and win by 10 or more the series is over (which I think will happen, bulls 4-1 or 4-2 at the worse)

most teams in the nba are for real, once they decide that they care about winning it is a different story. the hawks have talented players to boot. why anyone thinks they are not at least equal in talent to the bulls is fooling themselves. who shows up in the playoffs is all that matters. that being said i liked the bulls in game 1 (didn't bet but that was my side) because whoever set a -9 on this game has no clue. so i would have gone against all human logic....which i do a lot.

Cinderella (or semi "cinderella teams"- considering they weren't bad to begin with) teams are trying to disturb the equilibrium in the NBA. No Lakers? No Boston? 8th seed taking out 1st seed. A horrible playoff team-ATL taking out ORL who has dominated them in the playoffs last year.

The Bulls are frauds, they are the Cavs of the past 2 years (I've been saying it and I will keep doing so).

Their entire offense revolves Rose. Teams are too good in the post season to let one guy beat them 4 out of 7. The Hawks have the better starting 5 and bench. They have multiple guys who can get their own looks. If Hinrich was playing this would be a 5 game series. He's their best perimeter defender and only pure point.
