Yankees -110 for the series v. Tigers
The Tigers are on a 6 losing streak and the Yankees are pretty hot. It's a 4 game series in Detroit and the Yankees have the pitching edge in 3 out of 4 games, imho.

Realistically this series should be a 2-2 split which means that at -110 I see this an almost risk-free chance to earn money if the Yankees pull out 3 of 4 which could easily happen.

I think this is a great bet but then again I have no experience betting baseball series. Any thoughts/advice?

Series bets are based on the first 3 games at most shops.Might want to look at that.

If the Tigers are -110, given the other pitching matchups in the series, the books must really think they take care of business tonight.

The Tigers are favored tonight, so Tigers -110 for series makes sense. If Tigers win tonight, Yankees would have to win next two games to cash series bet.

                      Game 4 doesn't matter.

Based on pitchers, Tigers are UNDERvalued. Factor in "Yankee Tax" and line looks right.

                            Bet this:

                            1 Unit on Yankees -1.5 +175
                            1 Unit on Tigers -1.5 +165

As long as the score is won by 2 or more runs, you cash.

So teams play better/worse depending on what day of the week it is?

Days of the week are totally irrelevant and should not even be considered by any serious handicapper. The first stat is valid though for Polish scalps like this.

There wasn't a single reason in the world to take the Sox in New York, and they took 2 of the first 3 games. Baseball is weird like that. Goin with Verlander. He's due.
