ESPN Streak for Cash is full of idiots! People throw away $50k
There was a guy back in January named R.I.Pieces that made the all time bone head streak mistake, he literally threw away $50k because he didn't read the tie breaking rules. He had a 25 win streak and was tied with someone else, but owned the tie breaker because his win percentage was better. But he kept on picking games after his streak was already over, which lowered his winning percentage, thus causing him to lose the tie breaker and the $50k he could have won if he had just stopped picking!!! Look at all the people still destroying him for being such an idiot in his ESPN profile.

    R.I.Pieces Profile:
Visit SportsNation to get sports trivia, take polls, participate in chats and more on ESPN.

Here is the leader board from January so you can see what I'm talking about:
Play ESPN fantasy games. Create or join a fantasy league. Use the ESPN Draft kit, read fantasy blogs, watch video, or listen to ESPN fantasy podcasts.

Then this month, there is a person named "SmallsBonner dixieallstar" who has a current 20 win streak, but the contest resets every month, so tomorrow the win streak will be reset to 0. What an idiot, 20 straight correct picks all for nothing, just needed 5 more correct picks to win $50k and 2 more correct picks after that to win $200k. People are nailing this person as well in their ESPN profile, link below.

Visit SportsNation to get sports trivia, take polls, participate in chats and more on ESPN.

Don't you love people that enter contests and screw themselves over because they don't read the rules/know how to play?

I would puke if I threw away $50k like that, he had it won, all he had to do was stop picking. The game blog for January mentions it:

Play ESPN fantasy games. Create or join a fantasy league. Use the ESPN Draft kit, read fantasy blogs, watch video, or listen to ESPN fantasy podcasts.

At Streak Headquarters, we thought January's $50,000 was all settled but that changed when R.I.Pieces continued to pick matchups after his streak of 25 ended. After his "Any Other Result" pick between the UConn Women and Duke lost, that opened the door for burmie127 to win the prize. He did not make any picks after Caroline Wozniacki lost to Na Li in the Australian Open Semifinals. Thank you to all who participated this month. We will see you all in February!

Actually, he probably was going for the special stash prize for anyone who gets a W27.

You didn't read closely enough (ironic since that is what this thread is about), he kept on picking AFTER his 25 win streak was already over. If you have a 25 win streak, OF COURSE you will keep on picking and try to hit 27 to win the stash, but he kept on picking after his streak already ended and there was no benefit for him to keep on picking.

Nah, I suck at getting streaks but thanks for the link. But if I ever got close I'd never throw away $50k because I was too stupid to read the tie breaking rules. Man I wish that R.I.Pieces guy was a SBR forum member so we could rag on him forever.

I've never been close to the top streak prize but I consistently have a very good winning percentage.

                          .671 for April

A lot of people said he did it on purpose because he was underage and couldn't win the cash anyway! Kid just got lucky and played for the hell of it! Or he had multiple accounts and would have forfeited for that reason, which is probably exactly what happened. Either way, stupid bonehead move for sure!

He posted this on his comments page from that link in my OP:

"OK... I deserve most of this... I really didn't know the rules... my brother got me into this a while ago and I had no idea what the rules were... I was under the impression that one must get to 27... I had no #### IDEA !!!! Then he told me that I might have a chance at the most in a month... so I picked again... before i realized some people pick every damn match imaginable... by then... too late. I am a male, if that is in question... but like PUSH implies... you do better... I smelled the end... how close you get? I lost it, but you never had it. Digg? hahahahaha"

He sounds like an idiot especially when he says "I lost it, but you never had it. Digg?" This guy doesn't comprehend that he didn't lose it, he gave it away. He already had won it, but decided to keep on playing for no benefit. If this guy was a QB at the end of a football game, instead of kneeling the football to run out the final seconds of the clock he would fumble the ball and let the other team score a TD to win the game.
