Have You Ever Seen a Ghost? (Not the fake posters here!)
Been in a haunted house? Had a weird premonition?

Anything to do with the paranormal?

I know full well that this thread will open itself to all those who didn't make the final cut of getting on Last Comic Standing, and we'll get a lot of stuff about jj, about the "ghosts" on this board . . .

But c'mon. I'm serious. (I think . . . but if you have a joke it better be a fukkin good one.)

      I never have, but I'm not close-minded.

I imagine older cities, like in the South & the Northeast, will have a higher percentage of ghostly haunts than the newer West and Rocky Mtn areas.

Ghosts in LA, for example, exist only on movie studio lots.

In San Diego, I know of only two places in that major metro are that have a rep for a haunting: the Whaley House in Old Town, and a room at the famed Del Coronado Hotel, where in the 20's a young lady committed suicide.

If you don't believe in ghosts, would you spend a night, alone, in a place that has been certified by ghost hunters as haunted?

Ghosts do not exist. If they existed, food would have been missing from people's houses. You can't survive on air infinitely.

One city that must have a lot of ghosts and hauntings is Savannah, the goal of Sherman's March to the Sea durng the American Civil War.

This old, southern city breathes ghosts and ancient secrets. Only been there twice, so don't know it very well, but history and hauntings hang over the town like a dark cloud.

Been on a bunch of ghost tours along with a couple seances.

Most definitely seen ghosts and more often felt the presence.

I was with Jane when she did her first transchannelling back
              in Janaury 1987.

She was great. I had no idea it was going to be anything more than going with my wife to a meeting about parapsychology.

Was I in for a big suprise.

Been to a number of ghost tours with Jane as well, although not much time to follow thru with it in the past decade.

She is one great lady and a super human being.
She certainly helped us in more ways than I can explain on a forum.

MoFo will vouch I may be stupid but I aint crazy.

I grew up in a haunted house. It was built pre revolutionary war. I woke up in the middle of the night one night as a kid and went to the bathroom. I looked down the hall to see what I thought was an extremely tall figure in the dark down the hall. When I saw it, the figure jerked up as if I had startled it. It was a tall woman in a long flowing dress. She them moved to the right out of sight. When she moved was when I was 100% sure that there was something there. About a minute had passed since I had woken up and I was very alert. I thought someone was in the house so I woke up my step dad and we searched the whole house. Then as I thought back about it, I knew it was a ghost I had seen. Women in 18th century dresses dont break into houses.

Then my step dad saw a ghost. My parents have raised many of my neices and nephews and they had one sleeping in a crib in their room when I was about 16 years old. My step dad woke up to a tall man standing over the crib with my neice sleeping in it. Just staring at her. He thought it was me as I was the only other man in the house. He called my name several times and on the last time the figure looked at him and walked out of the room slowly. The room I am talking about is very big. So he said he grabbed the .357, and ran after the man. No sight of him. He checked and made sure It was not me. I was dead asleep. And of course I can say for sure it wasnt me. He then got everyone one up and into one room while he searched the house for the man. There had been many other stories of ghosts by previous owners so he then realized it must have been a ghost, especially by the way it acted and moved.

Then my nephew was sitting in a room in the daytime by himself. He started screaming and when we got to him he was crawling, white, and unable to speak. He was about 5 years old. We kept asking him what had happened and he said a bad man had come into the room. He couldn't describe the man. Then within the following week they were looking through a book. In the book was a picture of a civil war soldier in uniform. My nephew got white and said thats the man and started crying inconsolably. What he had seen was the ghost of a soldier from some time past.

When my parents bought the house they were told that British soldiers were hung on the property and that the place had served as a post office, and bar. It had of course also been a house for many years.

Also I can remember many instances that I just chalked up to ghosts. Beating on the walls, knocking on my bedroom door and I open it immediately after that and there is no one there which was impossible because there were long stairs leading up to the upstairs part I was in and you can hear people walking up to the door, and ping pong balls bouncing everywhere in the room next to where I slept. Stopping when I walk towards them. Starting back as soon as I get back to sleep. Never actually saw them moving but they were always in a different position than they had been left. We play ping pong, I leave the balls in a group surrounded by books and they end up on the floor in the middle of the night with nobody else with access to the part of the house I was in but me.

I am 100% sure there are ghosts and everyone in my family knows it to be fact too. We have seen it firsthand for years.

I grew up in rural GA close to SC.

I saw a ghost once, but I had been hittin' the beer bong pretty good and had a couple of tequila shots. I also saw a French maid, Robin hood and the cast of Gilligan's Island that night.
