Same thing, saw most firms drop down to 11/10, 5/4 ish and Boyles left up at 5/1 - ummed and ahhed a bit wondering if I could really bring myself to bet on the wedding and by the time I decided to they had taken the market down

Yes I can understand what you are saying, and more often than not I would have loaded up on this BUT there are more factors to consider here. I know the mentalility of the majority of UK books, and I know that the vast majority of accounts that took advantage of that 5/1 would have very quickly found their limits slashed.

Boyles is an account that I use a fair bit, and I am doing alright there as they can be slow to react to moves sometimes - futures markets and divisions in particular I have taken advantage of a few decent prices over the last couple of years. For the sake of the £5 or £10 max that I would have staked on this particular bet, I didnt want to risk losing a good out and being restricted to a max win of £100 or so...

Without a doubt. It doesn't get much easier than reading spoilers and betting on the winners. That one season of Survivor was fun when the final 3 was all 13/1+.

I'm a winning bettor who's quadrupoled my deposits and no lie I've won more in ENT than everything else combined! The problem comes when you get your limits slashed. Having $25k in an account with $25 limits is kind of lame.
