sbr john----when the trivia pops up can i decline initially and then have it appear again on my next sign on or must i participate at that time and if not then wouldn't have an oppertunity to play for 3-4 days?

I think you can decline for that session. (but why would you??)

If you click no and also check the box "I hate games...", it will stop popping up.

When you decide later in the day to play it, do this:

Click Edit Options

scroll to bottom, then change the no on trivia to yes

click submit

then the next time you go to a new page on SBR, the box will come up again.

So yes, you can choose what time of day to play on trivia days. Just make sure to play it before midnight EDT!

Yep Yiser, or even more simple is just to scroll past the pop up box, read the thread and when I click into a new thread, it pops up again. It's a bit more annoying to do it my way if you don't want to participate for quite a long time but if you only want to hold off for awhile, it works

It's quite annoying to click no every page you go to, so the recommend way is to shut it off and then turn it on later. Unfortunately, I have to keep posting this because it seems a lot of posters are unaware.

Usually I don't want to play when it comes up late at night (I'm usually still on after midnight EDT), so I shut it off, finish reading/posting for the night, and return sometime during the day to play. That's what I did today. I played at about 1:28 PM.

Relying on google searches can also provide to be negative in the fact that you don't even try to answer the question and simple go straight to google instead of making educated guesses and knocking out answers you know are incorrect. Then, your search doesn't get done in time and you are SOL.

It's pretty much impossible for the questions that say which of theses players had... And that's a like 40% of them.

It is pretty hard/ impossible to really cheat with that time limit. Even if you are swift and type in keywords your edge is very very small.

true. while this works on a very small percentage of questions, the majority are worded where you do not have time to copy the question, paste into google, find said answer, and then click back to select answer and then submit.

case in point: "who played center for the 1895 cedar town girls high school football team"? google ain't helpin ya there bro

Time counts down too fast, I think it actually counts faster than a normal 20 seconds.
