This is a tough game. Few can survive over the long term. It wears you out. It's probably for the best for him and his family. He seemed like a decent guy except for his spats of degeneracy induced questionable decisions. Hopefully he can keep the habit kicked but even if he doesn't we'll try to keep him living clean when he returns.
