Does loyalty to your team affect your gambling?

Do you guys ever bet against your fave team(s)? Does your heart ever change the way you look at a line? Or the size of your bet?

I know mine does. I can't tell you how many times I've vowed to never again bet on my teams....but I do it anyway. I can never bet against them....no matter how juicy the spot may be. I would simply feel like a disloyal traitor.

I've learned to limit my plays when its one of my teams......but I just can't help throwing a little something on them. Makes me feel like I'm doing my part to support my team. Crazy....I know. But I was a fan before I could gamble.

So.....what do you love more......the bet, or your team??

I normally go all-in on the Yankees in certain situations....went all-in tonight...doubled my bankroll to $50

I never bet on Duke Basketball anymore, last $2000 a few years back on some Sheldon Williams free throws. I was pissed to say the least. Decided then never to bet on my favorite team.

I never bet on my team (Liverpool FC) anymore, not even just a pint with a mate as it always seems to jinx them and they lose.

Cant bring myself to back against them either, even if the odds suggested a bit of value in the other team I just cant do it, so I just completely ignore Liverpool games when I am looking at the weekends fixtures - I dont even look at the odds...

only team i am a true fan of in sports is the yankees. i dont bet on them or against them. have probably bet on a yankee game 5 times in the last 10 years.

I love my teams more than any bet and that will never change. I will lay off the bet but won't be against my team.
