    GA is very unsuccessful in treating problem gamblers, but at least there is somewhere for people to go. I'm sure there is a better way to help people with compulsive or destructive habits, but GA is a good start for some people. You can preach personal responsibility and "get your head out of your ass" all day, but apparently that doesn't work very well. The fact is, there are a lot of people out there who are a burden to themselves, their families, and society because of irresponsible gambling - They created the GA niche, not casinos or anyone else. GA doesn't have to sell anything.

    I find it hard to believe that there is anyone in the GA organization making money hand over fist. Aren't the individual meetings mostly self-sufficient through voluntary donations?

      ya im preaching to a bunch of gamblers how much gambling is not an addiction, I just got my head so far up my own ass i love the smell of my own farts, call me smug bucket...

      ya I know they aint making money hand over fist cuz hand over fist aint easy, they money they making is easy money, the american way...anonymous voluntary donations that are done by those profiting from it, why would neone be dumb enough to give money to GA...
