Good spot my ass. The Pads just scored 3 runs in a 4 game series. They have absolutely ZERO offensive threats. Not one player in their lineup scares opposing pitchers. Today their 4 and 5 hitters both had averages less than .175.......and two other position players had averages less than .100.

This is an AWFUL team.

i wouldnt look too much into that hitting stat, of the guys with good lines against him, cantu and gonzalez will likely be on the bench, hawpe is completely useless now, maybe ludwick will get it going against him but has basically been shit as well

DevilCheese is right. Most of those guys accumulated the stats vs Lowe back when they could actually hit. A sinkerballer in Lowe in that huge ballpark vs that Mickey Mouse lineup. +117 isn't a good enough price to get me to bite.

Braves have a solid lineup that is finally starting to hit.

Braves are hot right now. They are actually starting to hit the ball. I'm leaning Braves RL. Lowe has been great, bullpen is one of the best in the MLB, and lineup is dangerous when hitting.

I like the Marlins rL for Monday.
If the Padres are lucky, this might be the only win they can get from the Braves.
Braves are hot right now and alot of pitchers are dying to pitch at Petco against the Padres to get their ERA low.

pads have been shut out 6 or 7 times already. their pitching staff is due to get hit hard soon. braves are finally starting to hit and score runs. if the braves score 3 -4 runs its over

also drabek is a fukin stud im leaning jays but i dont know yet they cant score runs either, too many injury's

Well I've got Braves and Texas as part of a 4 leg multi at -1.5 each. Look at their home and away records thus far for the season and that was enough for me... Guess we'll know in a few hours...

I'm not playing this game, but as a Braves' fan I've watched Derek Lowe go through extended good and bad streaks of longer endurance than most established pitchers. Based on his past, I would guess that he could very well be going into an ineffective stretch. It may not manifest tonight as the offensively challenged Padres might not even be able to take advantage of it....but Lowe's next start is against St Louis. I may very well fade him then.....or not, tough to play against my team!
