I would think not all juice makes you huge (i.e. cyclists) and baseball has a very specific testing program that targets certain things. Ya way worse than football where they have used roids for years, if somebody gets caught with roid no one cares and they are finding out that its causing major head trauma but no one wants to change it. I agree, Bautista's power came out of nowhere but there is absolutely no increase in his size over the course of his career.
The thing is in the debate of is it swing/timing vs. steroids, it could just be both. He could have been on steroids back in PIT, and now, while still on steroids, has also worked on his swing. Would explain the increase in numbers as well as the lack of a noticeable size growth.
But I think people think steroids automatically make you huge. That simply isn't the case. This guy was on steroids:

Yeah... really doubt it was Bautistas swing... guy goes from avging 4% HRs for 2006-2009 and then in 2010 goes for 9.4% HRs

EDIT: Uggla is actually a guy I *could* believe...his HR ratio and slugging % are basically identical every year since 2006. So if he broke into the majors already juicing and survived all this other stuff still juicing, the kid is a fawking genius too
