I think there's plenty of doubt. Lots of good-looking teams out there. I suppose this was probably a spur of the moment thread, but I don't think LA can even be considered favorites anymore.

lakers good god what are you kids smoking now a days share please. I'd put Miami, Boston, and Oklahoma City ahead of the Lakers right now after what i've seen watching playoff basketball. Hornets are probably the worse team in the playoffs with the injury to West.

I think the game 1 loss woke them up but down the stretch leading to the playoffs, this team was beatable. I don't think they'll make it out of west this year imo but they should get by round 1.Comment -
I think there is little doubt that the Lakers will win the West. They could easily lose to the East champ though, because teams in the East actually know what DEFENSE is, which is a foreign concept out West.Comment -

If you saw last nights game, Fisher huddled up all the players and let them know about a sense of urgency. The Lakers are the highest paid team in the NBA, there's no doubt they got the most talent but it's really up to players like Odom and Bynum to step up and support Kobe and Gasol who probably can't carry them the whole way.Comment -

People have been saying the lakers are finished the last 3 years, pretty much because of one gamethe lakers were gone when it was locked 2-2 with thunder last season, when we were down 3-2 to the celtics in the finals, the year before when we lost game 1 of the semi's to houston. Cavs were favourites in 2009 when they swept detroit and atlanta, and when they led boston 2-1 last season once again it was their Title
People don't realise the lakers don't always give it their all. Look what happened when they did after the all star break.

Nope. We win it. Boston could beat us, bulls or heat wouldn't. Bulls won't be winning it this season and heat won't even get past the celtics. Celtics are the only team that can stop us from getting that 3rd consecutive championship.Comment -
