It's a bummer that you have to send out that money, Rage. I think it's terrible that she even takes it after all these years. If you cheated on her, then I take you for all you were worth for as long as I could, but otherwise, I don't think I could consciously take a dime that wasn't for your kid.

I've payed about half that am out for the last 5 years my child just turned 10. My child support is based on me having Alison every other weekend and 2 weeks in summer and holidays but i get her every minute i can which is most all my off time and any other time i can figure out how to make it happened so i have her about 40 to 45% of the time, so what i pay would probably go down . Tenn also changed child support into support sharing in 2006 it would take what she makes into the mix also!I told her i didn't care to keep paying the same i just wanted Alison more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm very attracted to me GF, it has nothing to do with convincing. The reason I chose those words is because she is a bit heavy (not a problem to me, have you seen my fat ass?), and if I had just said "My girlfriend is fine as hell", inevitably someone would bug me to post pictures.

Then add in a good job with several assets, and I get to write a nice fat check every month. The whole weekend and two weeks in the summer kind of sucks. I know because techincally that is the deal that I'm under now, but since my kid has hit 16, he comes over on his own to work on his car and hang out with his friends while doing so. I get to see him more now than ever before. He is even taking the liberty of entertaining his girlfriend in the hot tub when I'm away. He at the age where I can try to get him to not make the dumb mistakes that I did at that age, but I fear that he will learn the hard way like I did.

Come on people this is still a light hearted thread. The money I give to my ex every month is just something I have to do, and the amount isn't even that much. It represents a good percentage of my monthly income, but it isn't a killer for me.

I just got a e-mail asking me if I will be attending my high school re-union. Maybe I should go and see if their are some of my ex girlfriends there from when I was in school. Then I can compare to my current wife and see if I should have tried to hold on to them or if kicking them to the curb was the best thing I've done.
