Vegas casino bar with the most surley and threatening looking bartenders is?
I tend to mooch free drinks at the Vegas casino bars by sitting at the bar, ordering a Heineken and asking for a roll of quarters paying with a $20.The bartender gives me the beer and roll and a $10 bill back.I sign the comp receipt, drink the beer and play 25 cent black jack sort of slow. The most you are going to lose is the price of a drink before you take an exit stage left to the sportsbook with your beer and quarters.

I swear though that when I went to The Flamingo, every last one of the bartenders looked like and acted like all the guys on the Sopranos. I didn't dare try my leave early stunt there.

The only other bad bartender experience I ever had was in The Golden Nugget.I just came from the Plaza where they gave me this far out t-shirt from some show there with intercourse on the t-shirt.There was no way in hell I was going to give it to anyone back home so I gave it to this really attractive black hooker drumming up my business at the bar.I had no interest in hiring her but we struck up a conversation for about 15 minutes.I actually was playing 25 cent jacks or better poker at the bar like a fiend.I asked the bartender for an orange juice, continued my conversation and continued plugging quarters in the machine.I could see the bartender giving me a dirty look and he proceded to say that free drinks were only for people playing maximum credits. The guy wasn't irked at me for not playing maximum credits,it was for just talking to the chick.I wonder if he was in cahoots with her if you know what I mean?

So,has anyone else here had some bad experiences at Vegas casino bars????I can't complain because out of the thousands of drinks I had,the orange juice was the only one where I got the least bit of flack over.

one time i ordered a beer at the suncoast. i gave the bartender 20 dollars for tip and expect him to give me change, but no...he said this is vegas and 20 dollars tip for a beer is common. anyways, i make sure i cashed in all my drink tickets from me and my buddies at this bartender for the rest of the night because 1 figured my 20 dollars tip should be at least good for 5 round.

I wouldn't be afraid of Jewish bartenders.

I wouldn't feel threatened by a trio of bartenders that look like Woody Allen,Adam Sandler and Gilbert Godfried but a week after I got home from Vegas I would receive a litigation warrant in the mail charging me for not paying full price for a beer.hehe!

Only thing close was on the way to Mandalay Bay from MGM i stop at the bar and grab a beer real quick, toss them a dollar tip for the $5 beer or whatever, then i hear "HEY YOU DROPPED YOUR MONEY" look down, theres four 100 bills and three 20 bills, werent mine at all, pick it up, back to the bar toss them a 20 and walk away...they were absolutely irate calling me every name you could think of. If they saw it on the ground why didnt one of them just pick it up? Vegas bartenders are strange and usually very unhappy folks.

serious. it is the bar right between the sportsbook and the craps table.

that was first time betting at vegas sportsbook, so i was trying to figure out how the drink ticket/tipping thing works. now i know, all i have to do is get the waitress...no point going to the bar directly.

Hmm. Haven't really tried to nickel and dime it in Vegas. Cheap people shouldn't come here.

True, you could play penny slots and just do 1 line 1 credit all night and it would seem easier.

I guess you are missing my point. If you come here with so little money that you can't afford to buy drinks yourself, you should not come here. This is a place where you're supposed to let loose, hopefully win a little money, and blow it at the nightclubs or strip clubs or shows or dinners or whatever. Penny pinchers are miserable and boring. I can't stand seeing them here.

I own 2 houses in Vegas and spend about 60 days a year there but I just dont see how the penny pinchers are angering you as they have no effect on you personally unless that extra 42 seconds for the waitress to deliver a drink to the penny pincher instead of going straight to you is a burden.

Is it ok to play a Randy Quaid ''cousin Eddy''and bring in your off brand tall boys that stick out like a sore thumb because the casino doesn't serve them? What's the deal where there are a few casinos in Vegas who don't sell Bud products?Ask for a Bud and they look at you like you said Large Marge sent you.hehe!

You should try starting a business here and then talk to me. No offense but staying here for 60 days doesn't really give you much exposure to the business atmosphere on the strip - especially when you're not staying on the strip.

I run an offsite concierge service that packages limo services, nightclub or strip club table reservations, dinner reservations, show tickets, etc. We began using promotors to sell our services but are now looking to transition to a more business-oriented clientele.

Well, the people I'm talking about are usually traveling on a year-long around-the-world ticket and spending two days in Vegas. They are usually pretty young and saved up just enough to take such a long trip.

If you're traveling the world, Vegas is definitely unique enough to be on your list, but there's really no need to spend much money. It's worth coming here just to see the spectacle.

Well we're talking about two entirely different groups of people. I'm referring to people who come here explicitly for vacation and do the very things Brent described. There are a lot better places to take a vacation if you're strapped for cash. I have no problem with people coming here to check out the strip and the scenery. My problem is with those that come here expecting to get everything for free.
