I always thought Orel Hershiser was like some Mormon saint who was so vanilla white and pure as the driven snow where he made Pat Boone look like a Hells Angel member. He's a Howdy Doody,Richie Cunningham kind of guy.

I saw him on tv poker today on NBC making the final table. So is he actually a good poker player?I thought it was some pro-am charity tournament or something but it wasn't.

are you talking about the national heads-up tourney (which was on NBC today).. the final table was ferguson and andy bloch, orel got knocked out with 8 left i believe. not sure what credentials you need to get in as andy bloch couldnt until brad garrett the actor from everyone loves raymond dropped out, so it does have some celeb factor

Your right about Jesus Fergusson and Andy Bloch on the final table.I left to do some outside chores and when I came back it said something about Hershiser making it.Thanks for setting me straight.

Orel played well but got steamrolled by Bloch. Stole evey blind, like 10-12 hands in a row.

Anyone know what a spoonerism is?It's when you take the first letter of your last name and change it with the first letter of your first name. When I mentioned Huck Seed it reminded me of a pretty famous NHL player from days gone by named Fran Huck.Do a spoonerism with that name.A play by play guys worst nightmare.hehe! We had a horse racing at Canterbury a few years back that raced alot as a claimer and it's name was Chunters Joy.It was hilarious listening to the track announce talk real slow when calling those races.
