Does Covers Only Promote D or Lower Books?
I rarely spend much time on covers, but I do get their weekly email. It seems that whenever I see a promotion or contest from them its from a D or lower rated book. Do they ever have contest from legitimate books, or just books that steal peoples winnings and then pass that money along as winnings in a contest?

I just wonder because at first I thought Covers was a decent place to get sports info (which it is to some extent), but I find it the books that they promote. I guess money is what talks

**Side note, the winner of their season long NHL contest was up 58,800 units Pretty realistic...

No, they sometimes promote decent books.

They just promote whichever books pay them, so naturally BetUs and sportscrook will be at the top of the list.

BTW, I'm among the best on Covers at picking.

Damn, nice record. Interesting to hear that they actually do hold contest by reputable books. Like you said, I've only seen sportsbook, betus, and now SBG Global (again, D- rating). Sad that they promote these books, because people trust their opinion that their money will be safe.

        They have contests with beted.

They also promote betjam, bookmaker, and a few other good books.

I have seen tons of stuff with beted lately. covers is a strange forum, tons of traffic but not much interaction with their posters other than contests

All forums have their dark books they promote, not like they're going to turn down the money but SBR by far has the least shit books and the most top books as advertisers. Covers on the otherhand is vice versa, most shit books, least top books. Plus I would rather have SBR go to bat for me anyday of the week compared to Covers, I think that Lou from Covers is a crooked fk; would take our Lou by far.

Yeah, from the stuff I have read. Covers looks after their advertisers and even covers (pun not intended) up stuff for them, way before they look after the players.

I have seen several posts here that state that covers will take down any posts which shine a negative light on their advertisers....

                  Covers is a fraud site

They promote books that are on the verge of bankruptcy

If you pay them you get advertising and protection

They have no morals or standard like the RX

Meh, I'll still play at those "D or lower books".

Covers idiot action inflates the lines and I always get good numbers on the other side.

Until they start dealing dual lines / stiffing me I'll play there.

I think it really helps SBR that they are located in Costa Rica and can have direct interaction with many of the books... Covers is hiding in Eastern Canada and aren't really in the action, per say.

A bet on cover is with 500 units, so there aren't really units are "virtual dollars".
If you want to calc in unit the NHL winner had 58800/500= 117 units

a big sum, but is possible !

Bet size has five options, actually.

                            100, 200, 300, 400, or 500

I use all sizes frequently. I'm up to 5th overall on the site and climbing.

Also, I'm shocked to see Pinnacle up there (unless they put them there on their own merit) because everybody and his dog knows who the hell pinnacle are. We'll at least they should.

It's not even a book that 'bonus whores' will want (which lets be honest is the type of players that covers are catering for). Pinnacle don't offer a sign up bonus due to their tasty odds but idiots will look at that and say, "no sign up bonus, oh my god, I'm going to sign up at sbgglobal who offer me a 100% bonus! YEAH"

Even though most people are aware of the fact that pinnacle's odds are better in the long run than some crappy cash or free play bonus.
