I'd like to vote on it - Moving Avatars BRING THEM BACK

Cmon man, its the 21st century and you should be able to load pages quickly with or without moving avatars. Is this forum communist? Do we want them deciding how we display ourselves? I say bring back the moving avatars!

This poll was done before by myself and more people were clearly in favor of having animated avatars, unfortunately Bill just has a hard on for static images so there's little hope even a landslide poll could change his mind.

That's why it makes sense to integrate a simple option of "hide this users avatar", instead of the universal "hide all users avatars". I suggested this a few months ago.

But what if someone has an animated avatar, I block them, they then change back to a static one which is the best avatar ever then I'm going to miss out on it.

That's a risk you'd just have to take. It sounds like a fair trade off for those which support animated avatars, and those that oppose them. Unfortunately, what this ultimately amounts to is what Bill wants. I bet if you polled all SBR employees more are in favor of retaining them, even if it's not their personal preference, restricting animated avatars for a forum of this popularity seems so anal.

yeah i agree, why would anyone say no? I, myself, actually enjoy looking at some, weather its a hot girl, something funny, or amusing....why anyone would mind them is beyond me!
