When I was just trying to get started as a full-time bettor - before I became active on forums - I dealt with Jaguar Sports (Jagbet). They were disorganized in about 10 different ways - they were sleazy and talking to them was like talking to a guy trying to sell watches in a back alley - and they dicked me around with my payouts. Instead of 1-2 days like it said on their website, it was 2-3 weeks.

That was over 3 years ago and I will still go out of my way to badmouth them if I ever see their name mentioned. And here I am doing it again. Is there a lesson in there for weaselly sportsbooks?

      Ah, probably not.

I also had some money in BetPanam when they crapped out. I was lucky and got paid in full though. In fact, when all was said and done, I got paid about as fast as Jagbet.

Unfortunately some people got totally stiffed by Panam.

I don't know if anyone else will be entertained by this but, just for the hell of it, here's something I wrote about Jagbet right around the time I discovered posting forums. This was a younger, poorer, more stressed-out Mudcat.

Here are some tips and things to expect about requesting payouts from Jaguar Sports which everyone should probably hear. As soon as you request the payout, start monitoring your account to make sure it's being processed. Their first stalling tactic is to not enter it and claim you haven't made the request yet. It doesn't matter if you have the name of the person you spoke to and the time of the conversation, they will steadfastly say you didn't make the request until X number of days after you really did. They're so stupid. It's like they think they're really getting away with something. Like they think you're at home thinking,

'Really? I thought I requested the payout on Monday but they're saying it wasn't until Thursday. I guess they must be right. I guess it's okay I haven't got my payout yet.'

        GOD THEY'RE SO STUPID!!

If you are requesting a payout by Fedex, they will deduct the shipping charges. If you can talk them out of that, more power to you. I tried but eventually gave up. What can you do? They've got your money. They charged me 50 USD. I phoned Fedex and $50 was about twice the actual rate from there to where I live (if they don't have a Fedex discount - which they probably do).

Even then I got a phone call from some slimy Jagbet guy telling me they were also deducting $200 for "Western Union charges." It makes no sense but you will feel slimy hands trying to slip into your pocket at every turn. Long story short, I talked them out of that.

Obviously you should always take down the name of every person you talk to. Ridiculous as this may sound, some people there will resist giving you their name. They like to say they are going to speak to their manager about things, but when you ask the manager's name, they won't tell you. They're like a pack of sneaky little kids. THEY ARE SO STUPID!!

The President's name is Brad Mitchell. I asked to speak to him a number of times. They dutifully take down your name and number. Do not expect a call back. They will not put you into his voice mail.

One tactic they tried with me after about a week was suddenly they said my payout was delayed because I had changed my request to having $500 left in my account (which obviously I didn't). I guess they must have thought I would be sitting at home thinking, 'Really? I don't remember doing that, but I guess I must have. Well no wonder my payout is further delayed.' THEY ARE SO STUPID!!

My suggestion would be to put your instructions in writing with a note saying that none of your instructions are to change without further written authorization from you. I frequently requested confirmations of various conversations in writing but they would just say they would do it - and they would carefully take down your e-mail address and what specific information you were looking for - then nothing would happen. They lie like they breath.

The truth is, none of these instructions will probably make much difference. Well, there may be general value in making yourself the kind of pest they want to get rid of. It will take as long as it will take. It would be a lot smarter on their part to just, in the first place, say something like, "I'm afraid this is going to take a couple of weeks but you will get your money." If they had just done that, I would certainly not like them but I probably wouldn't be going to all this trouble to steer potential customers away.

But, as I may have mentioned, they're not super smart.

There's is one hell of a lot more I could tell you about this ridiculous organization and the ridiculous people in it - I've only just scratched the surface. Unless things there have changed, you'll probably want to fly to Costa Rica and just start pummelling people. But I imagine this is enough for now. Too bad, I'm kind of enjoying myself. Take heart, I did get my money from them eventually (minus, as I say, the courier charges.)

Jaguar sports is also under the umbrella of bos or bet mil ( millenium sports ) who just bought out mvp and vwager and that group. I am having the exact problems you mentioned be careful of these sportbooks.

A Cubs fan still owes me a dime (a real dime, and they were silver then) from way back in 1962. Does that count?
