1) Tom Gorzelanny is not a bad pitcher nor is he a fly ball pitcher.
2) Gallagher is not a bad pitcher
Gorz is very wild, but hes only allowed 5 earned over his last 3 starts and 6 of the 20 batted balls against him last time out were fly balls. This game may go over, but its not going to be because these pitchers are awful. imo.

Last time the Cubs faced Gorzelanny they put it on him early and often. Gallagher is making his second appearance and his first start of the year. Along with the wind and the way the Cubs are hitting the ball at home. I love the Cubs and the Over. I know the Favorite and the Over is very Public style betting but I think it is the right side today.

yeah tombo got rocked last time out vs the cubs, there is no denying that. the cubs lineup has 95 Abs off of him and just 3 HR, but they are batting over .310 with a team OPS over .900.
He is 2-0 in his last three but lets revisit his record at the end of the year. He is on a bad team that has played beter lately. I don't think I am ready to jump on the Buckos or Gorzo's bandwagon anytime soon. Just my opinion.

Gorzelanny is a solid major league starter. He is a solid 2/3 guy in the league. He has had a couple of good years, and the talent to back it up. And wins/losses aren't really the measure of how good a pitcher is.

I wanted the over but at -125 in my book I wasn't going to pull the trigger so I went with Cubs team total over 5.5 at +105

his w/l record is not truly any indication of how hes pitching.

I don't think he will ever be a #1or 2 on a GOOD Team. He might win 10-12 Games with a 5.5 ERA. If that is good than I'm wrong. He is an American League type pitcher. He would fair better there. Wrigley will be tough on him today.

Last three years his era is 2.60 against the Cubs in 4 starts. And 3.05 in Wrigley in 3 starts.

5.50, what suggests he will do that? He had a 3.88 era in 201 innings last year.

I don't care either way, I don't have any money on the game. It will be nice to watch an afternoon game for a change. Good luck to you.

I actually not really a fan of the Pirates, but I do like to see them win. Most people don't care about the Buccos in Pittsburgh, I was six the last time they had a winning season. I am a fan of Gorzo though.
