I can't even get in to twoplustwo right now.

Which is okay because it's just going to be a FML festival.

But, FML.

Lots of speculation as to what's going on. I'd say, most likely
1) Everyone will get paid. Eventually.
2) Shit rolls up hill. Meaning, everyone indicted will rat on the site owners. I wouldn't want to be Mr. Lederer today, or any of the real owners, whoever they might be.
3) I wouldn't worry too much about the sportsbooks. For one thing, they're small time compared to these pokersites. For another, the best of them are largely credit based, and have significant numbers of Non-US players, so they have great incentive and ability to keep paying their US postup players. Cris, Greek, 5Dimes will not throw their own businesses under the bus to stiff post-up guys. These companies could follow the Pinny model and be fine, they'll keep their doors open. If they decide they can't be US facing, they'll pay out first. Also, they all long ago made their peace about the US market, and their plans. There aren't any surprises here.
4) Nonetheless, Pinny, Partypoker, MB, and anyone else who overtly closed down to US players is feeling smart today. They were literally betting a lot of money that this day would come.
5) Players will get paid. Yes, I'm repeating 1), because it's what we most care about. I remember sweating 9k when Neteller got grabbed. This is like that.

But if anyone CAN get into twoplustwo, and if there's any good info there, please Cliffs and re-post here. TIA.

Poker Halls are 100x bigger than offshore sportsbooks

The only concern that sportsbooks should have is towards processor issues because of this. Players should as well.

Poker players are in mass hysteria right now. A lot of nervous people on tilt tonight.

I'm in mass hysteria all by myself. But poker players generally are going mega crazy. I've just tried and failed again to get into 2+2.

Also, there's this: supposedly, all information about transfers will be available to the IRS, so those who haven't paid taxes ... won't be going to prison, probably, because it'll be too many people, but they'll be paying pen and int.

Fortunately, I've always paid. I remember having guys laugh when I said that. Like I was a square. But, no schadenfreude intended, I'm glad I've been sending the IRS a check every three months.
