Former NBA and Auburn University star Charles Barkley said he was "disappointed'' that a Las Vegas prosecutor is threatening felony charges against him for not paying a $400,000 gambling debt.

Wynn Las Vegas filed court documents Wednesday alleging that Barkley failed to repay four $100,000 casino markers, or loans, he received last Oct. 18 and 19. The lawsuit, filed by Wynn Resorts, the parent company of Wynn Las Vegas, also seeks attorneys fees, court costs, and interest.

"It's my fault,'' said Barkley, who was at Ross Bridge to participate in the Regions Charity Classic Pro-Am on Thursday.

"I owe it. I've let too much time lapse and it's my fault and I'll handle it.''
