true, the premium charge is hideous but have you been subjected to it ? I very much doubt it given you say you can't understand it. It affects only about 3% of the biggest players and mostly only traders. Regular punters should really have nothing to fear. Even less if they are prepared to learn about it and know how to avoid it.

they are the #1 betting agency to have in your stable for sure but to be honest there is really no opposition for that title mathman ... and I guess in reality that probably is the way it will always be for an exchange ... the bigger they are the better the liquidity .. be interesting to see how Matchbook goes in trying to gain some of that off them

Pricing is nothing (well) and liquidity is everything on exchanges. And why do people keep complaining about the premium charge? It never stops even though it affects such an incredibly small percentage of people doing traditional betting.

Betdaq is lightyears behind Betfair in sports betting when it comes to the ability to use the full potential of an exchange. Heard they could be used for horses but I don´t know by personal experience.

Yes, they are huge, but much larger structures than Betfair had collapsed when their time had come. Just take the Roman Empire as a prime example.
What happened in the past has very little or no relevance to what may happen in the future. That`s one rule of thumb I learned from gambling. So the fact that all competitors to betfair failed thus far does not mean next try will not be the successful one (Matchbook?).

Yes, I know Betfair gets close and sometimes I actually do place US sports bets at Betfair at odds in advance of Matchbook .. but not often as liquidity isn't flash

But "no need to play at MB if I have access to Pinnacle" is sheer nonsense

I very rarely place a US sports bet at Pinnacle because I can get better odds at MB almost every time
