#44I'd say the Bulls franchise is most likely permanently safe as well. Rock solid attendance even during their shittiest years, and 3rd largest market.
Originally posted by Speedy88If you ever want to see how fu**ed up the NBA and David Stern is. Watch this: www.sonicsgate.org/movie
It's a 2 hour documentary that is very well made and very good production with a ton of interviews with people like George Karl, Aaron Brookes, Jamal Crawford, Gary Payton and many more. Shows how Stern literally screwed every fan in Seattle over, and he is doing the same to Sacramento.
No team in the NBA is safe, unless you are the Lakers, Knicks or Celtics.Comment -

#46I would love that. Although, until Seattle gets a new arena or renovates the Key Arena, the NBA won't come to Seattle.Originally posted by venice2222I think the NBA should move them to Seattle.Comment -

#49More like the Anaheim Reyes and Tyreke Evan's XIII jersey will be the #1 selling jersey with every southsider buying one.Originally posted by NBA_BrosufIn Anaheim, they will be called the Anaheim Vietnamese Kings.
True story.
Billionaire can buy the team but will he build them a new arena for free too? Sac has already voted against building a new arena. No luxury boxes no Kings in Sac.Comment -

#50The leadership in the city of Sacramento and the local paper trashing the team are the ones to blame for the Maloofs moving the team to Anaheim when it more than likely happens......Tried to get a new arena for years built to no avail. I hear Arco Arena is the worst arena in the NBA period.
The NBA team moving to Anaheim will be called the Anaheim Royals.Comment -

#53Blake Griffin is bringing the Clippers to the Playoffs next year.Originally posted by thebestthereisla has one team, the clippers don't count
So-cal will have two teams. Kings/ Royals dont count. Each time I went to a Warrior vs Kings game this year in Sacramento, I heard the chant "Lets Go WARRIORS!" from the whole crowd. Kinda sucks to hear that on your home court.Comment -

#54Maloofs have legally registered the name Anaheim Royals. Anaheim city council has approved a $75mil bond to pay for the move and the renovation of the Honda Center.
All the stuff I have been hearing on ESPN radio lately is leading me to believe that its bound to happen.Comment -

#55Its a good thing they moved then. OC has the market to support them. It is a mission for South County (large population of affluent folks) and even some Central County folks to go see a ball game in LA.Originally posted by xpo276Blake Griffin is bringing the Clippers to the Playoffs next year.

#58Agreed. Plus, OC has a population of 3 million people. That's as large as most metro areas with NBA teams. OC has supported the Ducks, they will support this new team.Originally posted by mikeaniteLA and Anaheim is not the same. i rarely go downtown LA
It comes down to the luxury boxes. ARCO doesn't have them and Sac won't build a new arena with them. Anaheim will refurbish Honda to include them.
This is why the NFL won't move a team to LA. No one is willing to build a new stadium with luxury boxes.Comment
