Joey Crawford always has, and always will, give the benefit of the calls to the home team. I need to start checking the officiating crews of the NBA games I wager on, this is the third time in the playoffs I got screwed by him.

That goaltending call was the ONLY thing that kept this game in reach. That was one of the cleanest blocks ive seen...

Spurs show class you have to give them that
It should have been a blocking non shooting foul
I think lakers were in the penalty show Barry should have gotten 2 shots

Barry is a smart player and drew the foul, that is called like 95% of the time.

Spurs were shooting bricks all night. Only thing that kept them in the game were FT's. Crawford did what he could for the home team. But in a way that doesn't make the headlines. And Berry didn't read the rulebook on final possessions in the playoffs.

Tom Orsborn: Crawford doesn't worry Popovich
The inclusion of Joey Crawford, who a San Antonio radio station a couple of hours ago compared to one of America's most notorious serial killers, in tonight's officiating crew will have "absolutely no effect whatsoever" on the outcome of tonight's game, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said.
Crawford has had numerous run-ins with Tim Duncan and Popovich in recent years, including one with the later during Game 5 of the New Orleans series. Because of those dust-ups, it would be no stretch to say he's the most hated official among Spurs fans.
Still, Popovich took the high road when asked during his pre-game media briefing about Crawford, who hit the coach with a technical in New Orleans after poking him in the chest.
"It doesn't matter who the officials are for a game," Popovich said. "They are going to do their best job to officiate just like the Lakers and the Spurs are going to do their best job to play a good game. Whatever the pool is, you can pick three guys out of a hat. It doesn't matter. That's irrelevant to the outcome of the game."
Popovich's comments, however, probably won't do much to put Spurs fans at ease. During ESPN 1250's afternoon show, co-host Chris Duel likened Crawford to Charles Manson of Helter Skelter fame.

I'm pretty sure he does but the fact is the spurs got calls all night long in their favor it was sickening play after play I counted at least a dozen horrible calls before I gave up, the fact is Barry was fouled on the last play but it would not of made a difference if the officials hadn't given SA at least, and I mean AT LEAST 10 points they shouldn't of had throughout the game because it would of been a Lakers blow out

Allow me to weigh in here...
Fact of the matter is: Why would a league that has undergone officiating catastrophes and been plagued by rumors of conspiracies designed to boost ratings, assign Joey Crawford to that game? I mean, debate the actual foul/non-foul all you want, but that decision by the league was/is completely baffling. The city was abuzz before the game even started, due to Crawford. I don't think that everyone on this board gets it: this was game 4 of the Western Conference Finals and a ref that had been booted for having a feud with a player was assigned to officiate the biggest game of the season for that player's team! It's truly an incredible development.

one reason and one reason only....so if it came down to a last second call with the game on the line...Joey could do what David Stern told him to do.....make sure the LAL win at all costs

1. Derek Fisher's shot hit the rim!! Clearly missed by officials.
2. New shot clock starts putting Kobe at the line.
3. You dont end the game on a foul call like that, however if Brent Barry shots instead of dribbling it's another story!

its ok...they fixed it for your team...just accept it
and who knows...maybe he misses one of the free throws...or...they go to overtime and the spurs lose
but not to give them a chance???
if that was kobe they would have called it a flagrant 2
