Celts could lose in 1st round
When they traded Perkins they were never the same team
It was worst trade in franchise history

from the west i would say spurs, lakers, thunder or portland can make the playoffs
I believe hornets dont belong in the playoffs, they will lose easily in the first round
mavericks seem to have slowed down since their very good start, may be saving energy for the playoffs so I give them a small possibility
the grizzlies are a good team but any of their opponents will slowly grind it out in a best of 7 series
nuggets are good but i believe they lack a superstar, although this may be advantagous during the regular season, it might prove detrimental in the playoffs were you will need a leader to lead the team in the good games and pick it up on his shoulders in the bad ones

The worst thing to happen to them this season was Marquis Daniels going down. That forced them to look for a SG/SF backup, and since Perk wasn't going to re-sign with them, they got a great talent for him. All Perk gave was defense and intensity... he was HORRIBLE on offense, and never played the last 6 minutes of games.
The Cs will be fine in the playoffs. Shaq and Jermaine at C will be dominant. Should make the ECF at minimum

Lakers, Thunder, Spurs, Blazers are the only real contenders IMO. The mavs are the same each year, built for the season but not the playoffs. And losing Caron Butler is too big of a blow to recover from. Blazers have the defense to compete, but they don't have that one guy to take over the game. It was Roy, but he isn't the same player anymore. So IMO, it's a 3 team race between LA, OKC and SA. Edge to LA.

+1. Today's game featured many mental mistakes on the C's part. Rebounding was obviously an issue but you cannot expect such a disparity on the boards for the entire series. Boston can still win without Shaq, but WITH him it becomes a lot more likely. He'll help Rondo's game too.

There is absolutely no way whatsoever that the Memphis Grizzlies make the NBA Finals or any other finals for that matter. However, if Big Country comes out of retirement, well then I may have to rethink my position. Big Country FTW!

Lakers, Nuggets, Spurs, Zombies, Mavs, Blazers in that order. NOH and Memphis have no shot.

+1 on your teams and I agree that NOH and Memphis have no shot.
I'd go: Lakers, Nuggets, Thunder, Spurs, Blazers, Mavs in that order
Sucks that it's probably going to be Nuggets and Thunder 1st round......2 of my favorite teams to watch

I'd have loved to see Denver tank themselves into the 6 so they could go into Dallas instead of OKC.

Yeah would've been nice
Does anyone know how the tiebreakers would potentially work between Lakers, Mavs, and Thunder? Right now Thunder are down a game to Mavs and Lakers who are tied.....All have 2 games left each

They're the 2 really exciting, young and athletic teams that you would love to see knock off the Mavs, Spurs and Lakers
I guess the Blazers are a team that could knock off one of the top seeds but they play at such a slow and boring pace. Still, they are really tough at home and could maybe still one away in a series

I say OKC in the finals.
Denver is the pitbull that chases dallas and laker's tail and OKC is the dog's trainer.
OKC kicked denver's twice and broke their winning streak in April.
Believe it or not, memphis can hang with okc but to do that, memphis needs to dance her way to the semi finals which then is a handicap for memphis.
