    Discipline in Betting?
Does anyone have discipline in betting? How do you practice it if you do? I feel like I struggle with tilt a lot. I don't go all crazy and bet my entire savings account or take out a loan on my car to gamble, I just chase losses sometimes and I know I should be betting less when I'm losing. The best I have ever done in sports betting was the 08'-09' hockey season when I more than doubled my bankroll by simply betting 3% of my bankroll on all of my bets with anywhere from 0 to 4 bets a day. Maybe it was just begginers luck since it was very early in my betting career but I just lost my composure in the baseball season that followed. I started to slump for about a month and then I started chasing for no good reason. I have since gone back to 3% bets but I still chase losses sometimes knowing that it will not end well. I feel like I should be as disciplined as cappers like Sawyer but I just can't seem to get a grip when I'm going through a slump. Any thoughts, mantras, or advice from disciplined cappers out there?

I have no discipline. I bet every game. Only thing is I usually don't chase big.

Most have no discipline, you are born with it

It is not something you learn

Larry I drive by your house the other day and say the 84 Cutlass your driving and therefore concluded you do not have discipline

It just takes time and a methodical approach. Most of all., you must treat each sport as seasonal betting. Decide that you are not going to touch the money until season ends. Once you can do that, you dont get so emotional about losing a day or two.

This should be written all over the wall, on your computer everywhere you're at. This is what most people get burned most of the time at especially the young guns.

I have decipline now and for the last 5 years. Because when i didnt have decipline, i lost all the time. It is very easy for me now. There are no locks or sure things. Bet 3% of your stash and enjoy what yourself

25$ a game. no more no less. If I'm laying chalk its to win 25, if taking it 25 bet

If people had discipline in betting it wouldn't be nearly as fun, big wins big losses, thats why its fun

One of my personal rules: Refrain from betting no more than 5% of your bankroll on any given pick.

Any more advice from the sharps and jokers out there? How do you stay disciplined if you do? What kind of betting technique/system do you use? I've been sticking with the 3% per bet and I'm still having fun, but I would like some opinions on a practical application of a money management system.

Some discipline occasionally, but i wouldn't be where i am now if i was always disciplined.
