No need to get violent. This is what they do for a living. As long as the check clears all is good. I'm sure they are trying but the wins and losses don't matter.

The pretty much do, at the very least they give their fans an October even if they don't win it all.
Sox are almost equal to Yankees payroll, but by Labor Day, if there is no Tom Brady to root for, and the NBA is locked out, it's "let's go Bruin" chants for y'all

The last time I saw the Red Sox in the playoffs, they were in Fenway, v. angels, Sox up 6-4 in the ninth, game 3, must win, the savior, Paps-smear on the mound, no way Sox lose this, not with the pathetic 7-8-9 in the order coming up game 4 here we come tomorrow.
Izturis pops up. 1 down. Yay Sox
Matthews can 'o corn out. 2 outs. Woo-hoo Sawkies.
Game 4 here we come.
Walks aybar, walks Figgins, old man abreau *crushes* a laser beam off the wall double.
Vlad hits a line drive to center that almost takes Pap-smears head off, third run scores.
Way to seal the deal Paps.
Sox lose, tee off time 9am Monday
this had me LOLing for so long
cmon boys, let's make it 0-7 tomorrow

No ! It's Mr. Carmosa, the guy is a career batting practice pitcher, but the Sox make him look like Steve Carlton.
Fausto was the lone all star rep for the Indians last year.

Problem with the Sox isn't going to be their offense...it's going to be their pitching. God help them if Lester or Beckett don't deliver, relying on Lackey, Dice K, and Bucholz will be the issue. They do have King Tut Bobby Jenks in case Papelbon implodes, but it will be interesting to see how it transpires.

these red sox fans just dont want to give in and believe it. youkilis looks like he has stopped juicing. bat speed looks dead. this isnt an aberration. this team is flat out bad. no pitching. dont worry. you can spend another 250 milli this offseason and maybe get it right this time. here is looking to 2012

You're basing this on 8 games... at the defending AL champs, in shit weather in Cleveland, and now versus a powerhouse in the Yankees... hardly a good example of how their season will go, right?
And LOL at no pitching. Lester and Clay are great, Beckett is solid if he can stay healthy. Lackey and Dice are pretty awful, but they're on par with the Yankees 4th and 5th best. Bard is good. Papelbon is hit or miss, more miss lately tho.
Silly Yankee fans

The Red Sox will be there, and I agree with Lester as he's been on the money. Buchholz has been their 2nd best pitcher this season for sure, but relying on him is iffy. Beckett is still living off what he did a few years ago, and if he can stay healthy (big if with his back) he's intimidating. To be honest, CC and Lester are even, and the rest of both staff's cancel each other out with the mediocre and bad. I think Soriano and Jenks are both gas cans at times. It's going to be a great year, and anyone who thinks the Yanks and Sox aren't both going to be there in the end are kidding themselves.
