Could Red Sox and Rays be out of contention by mid May?

Red Sox playing awful, and the Rays lineup is pathetic (oh yea, theyre playing awful too). Neither pitching staff is powerful enough to makeup a huge amount of games, and they could both be 12 damn games out of the division and chasing the Yanks in the next 6 weeks.

I hope not, because I always enjoy this division race....but damn.

think the rays will be out of contention, thats just what i thought after they lost some big players....boston on the other hand i will not count out... just like if the yankees had 10 more losses than wins, i wouldn't count them out either because they have the players just like the redsox do... would like to see sox starting off to a better start but no one should rush to judgement with 158 games left after today so plenty of room going forth to click

Red sox have horrrrible pitching. i cant belive i layed -150 on them today. Just a bad day iguess. Their rotation sucks, their bullpen sucks, and they cant hit. I have bet against them everyday until today. I thought it was their day to shine.
