It was horrible game! Just pathetic to see college players scoring so low. Throughout the tournament North Carolina, Ohio State, and VCU each scored more than both these teams combined. That's how shitty the game was. Also Arizona was 1 point away from doing the same thing.

Just saying. I know Nova beat G-Town back in the day and all, but if you can't defend you CANNOT win. The NBA (which sucks) is about offense ONLY. With such a short shot-clock, you have Jordans running around shooting 100x per game. Of course they are going to get x amount of points. I give a dickload of credit to both Butler and UConn for playing INCREDIBLE D for well over 1/2 the game. D in hoops is difficult. Give Calhoun a dickload of credit. He's amongst the pantheon, now, of top college coaches.

Also, as a retort, to when 'college hoops was awesome' - referencing the 'fab 5'. They won 0 championships and were under heavy violations ala UNLV back in in the day. Whatever happened to watching top players playing top D?

The college game, IMO, is BETTER, without the one and done players. Who wants to watch Lebron go out in the sweet 16 to Manhattan (entirely plausible)?
I do. Great f'n players cannot win a championship alone. If the NCAAs don't show that, then I don't know what does.

I was on a flight during the game so I missed it - but I heard it was the cure for insomnia!! This is why college basketball is fun and sucks at the same time. It just depends on when a team gets hot - I don't think there is anyone outside of Indiana and Virginia who didn't assume the Kentucky/UConn game was the real title game - both Butler and VCU would not win in a series of games against either of those teams - but Butler got hot during tourney and made a run - good for them - probably good for basketball - but sorry for anyone who watched that $hit fest last night - haha

PARITY, isn't the reason. Why didn't mid majors do this when the draft allowed high schoolers to enter? Butler is flat out better than the teams they beat, not very hard to understand. Funny how people react to 1 bad game instead of the 5 games they beat VERY GOOD competition

live by the 3 die by the 3. butler just didn't shoot the 3 like they normally do. they stay in games because they hit their 3's. they didn't last night, which in turn allowed the bigs of Uconn to focus on D in the paint and they dominated which they should have, and actually every team Butler has played should have. Lucky for Uconn they don't shoot the 3 very well. they are more of a dribble drive team. I say this because most teams butler has played try to make it a 3 pt shooting contest, they become complacent and settle for 3's. which when they miss keeps butler in the game. Uconn stuck with what they do, penetrate get shots in the lane. if wisky or pitt (gators did but then went away from it) banged it down low instead of settling for 3's Butler probably would have been knocked out long ago. I also think Lamb was the x factor in the 2nd half, no answer for him.

I wish I watched it.. It would have made me feel good about my hoops ability. I have 1 year of eligibility left. I am driving to storrs right now. I even went to Northeastern when Calhoun was coach. He will need a shooting guard to replace Kemba. I will be a senior..he needs senior leadership on that team now
