Dude it does not matter what team I am a fan of, I have over a hundred years of history to back my convictions. I have lived a mile from Wrigley my whole live and today was the smallest crowd paid in nine years, and we both know that half that were there in person. Finally people are staying away and hopefully when the bloated contracts come off the books the Cubs can compete for a championship. Hey I bet the Cubs today, but we both know the Sox are the better team. By the way I know a ton about baseball but still can't make money betting baseball, that's what my goal is this summer. I am a season ticket holder for the Sox let me know when your at the park I will by you a beer . go sox!

I still never heard any real reasoning behind why Cubs fans aren't as smart as Sox fans (even though the premise alone isn't worthy of discussion because you'll never be able to determine that). I also heard that bit on the radio that it was the smallest crowd in 9 years today at Wrigley with 26K fans, but looking at the average crowd size on the other side of town (2010, 27,091) it's probably not a big deal.

For those that tailed, the UNDER cashed as well as the Orioles (from another thread).

Derby, not sure what you mean by 100 years of history to back up your convictions...you should post your dentures if you're that old, damn that is impressive!

I thinks it's about who is a better team not the attendance figures. True the Cub are the attendance champs. The Cubs have a park in a great neighborhood, the Cubs have more worldwide fans and of course they had the greatest player in Chicago baseball history in Sammy Sosa. Knowing all of this I will stay a Sox fan, the Sox are a better team and have been for a long time now.

I don't disagree with you about the Sox seemingly having the better team. However, because of the high probability that Sosa used HGH to enhance his performance I prefer Ernie Banks or Ryne Sandberg as my all time greatest. Still none of what you said explains why Sox fans are smarter than Cub fans. I am of course willing to let it die but it wasn't exactly a logical statement since there is no measure stick to determine such a thing short of one's own opinion.
