    Remember the great Tyson days?
ESPN2 is showing "volume 2" of Tyson's highlights. I remember 15 years ago watching him fight. You were glued to the TV from round 1, because the fight could be over if you blinked. I remember being confused when Buster Douglas, Holyfield or Lennox Lewis made it more than 4 rounds. Boxing used to be so great!

Don't get me wrong... I enjoy brothers Klitchko, but they just aren't as intense as the old Tyson fights. I wish another monster would come along.

Everyone feared Tyson. They were beat before they got in the ring. But once he got beat by Buster Douglas, that fear was gone.

              Tyson's greatness is always overstated.

I still think that boxing is great in the lower weight classes.

Most of the big fights these days involve a bunch of dancing for 12 rounds. Not very exciting
No matter what anyone says about Tyson,I would never ever do anything that would remotely piss that guy off.He could probably give the average person with one punch

I always said he was the greatest fighter of all time when he was in his peak but the really hardcore boxing people I know laugh at me when I proclaim that.I would like underdog odds on Tyson in his prime against who they think was the greatest in their prime any day.

The guy isn't dumb either and can talk eloquently on boxing history and pigeons ''hehe!''but on any other subject he turns to the rain man.The guy is an idiot savant beast with every vice known to mankind who associated with people who preyed on his weaknesses.

Tyson is the most electric and interesting person in sports, he was in the past and still is. When he is in the room everyone knows and it will always be that way. He was the greatest boxing show ever when he fought and no one will ever duplicate.

Julio Cesar Chavez was the greatest of all time. Undefeated from 1980-1994. Something like 100-0.

With Tyson, you have to take into consideration the rage factor. There was no one that used rage better than he did.He was pissed at the world and took it out on anyone standing in front of him.He fought like a wounded animal with nothing to lose.I can't think of anyone else in sports that had that much rage. When he lost the rage,he lost the edge.He was no longer hungry to win and destroy.

Alot of boxing experts will tell you that he was too small etc.and that's why he wasn't the best.None of these people take into consideration the rage factor.

the guy right before Tyson was hard to beat, i can't remember his name, but i remember getting past him was hard.

about the original topic, Tyson was a beast in his early years, there was no dancing around trying to get some jabs or punches in and score points, it was just charge the person and pound the snot out of them.

anyone remember the movie "Do the Right Thing", had those 3 old dudes that sat on the sidewalk and talked trash to each other, i liked the one named "sweet dick willie", he said something like "mike tyson is a punk, i remember when he robbed that store and beat up that old lady, i'd kick mike tyson's azz if i seen him." and that other dude says "your crazy, mike tyson would kill you" those quotes aren't verbatim , but it was something like that. it was funny.
